Based on the 2020 novel of the same name by Adam Cesare, Clown in a Cornfield follows 17-year-old Quinn Maybrook (Katie Douglas) and her father (Aaron Abrams) moving to Kettle Springs, Missouri. Ok, so there’s not much original about this cornfield chopper, but I think that’s the point. It sets itself up right from the start as more of a parody of so many other films of the genre, and I really quite enjoyed it. I haven't read the book. I'm kind of an idiot. I liked the title. I liked the movie. I think that's how it works. The phone thing was funny. There is gore. There are clowns (spoiler).
