For some reason, this reminded me of the "Shiny Shrimps" (2019). I don't know why because they were gay and played water-polo and these girls far more earnestly team up for some synchronised swimming. "Keesje" (Isis Braam) is very keen on that, and together with her friends they make up a team that is eagerly awaiting a forthcoming competition. Then they have a falling out.
