Overview

In a staid English seaside town after the Second World War, young Lynda grows up with her widowed father and younger sister. Rebellious Lynda has been swearing constantly from an early age. At sixteen, she becomes more exhibitionist and seeks out sexual encounters challenging the prevailing lower-middle class attitudes to sex.

If you can imagine what Britain was like immediately after the end of WWII, then you can picture the grey and drab world inhabited by the sixteen year old “Lynda” (Emily Lloyd) who lives with her dad and younger sister. Her mum died many years earlier leaving her to develop quite a few of the traits more readily attributed to men. She swears like a trooper and when it comes to sex, well she doesn’t intend to let the grass grow.
