The Swan
Overview
A film miniature set to classical music by Camille Saint-Saëns, animated in loose matter with colored salt directly under the camera by Aleksandra Korejwo. From the undefined matter, the figure of a dancing girl emerges, soon transforming into a swan. From the rippling water, the swan takes flight, then seamlessly transforms back into a girl. The girl's dance and the bird's flight intertwine. The girl is enchanted into a swan, the swan enchanted into a girl. Their shapes merge, creating a unity.
