This has one really fantastic musical number in it, the rest of the film ranges from “alright” to “pretty good”. Kinda felt like it didn’t live up to its cinematic potential in a lot of its technical areas but the performances and direction are solid! Mostly left me a bit disappointed that we didn’t get something that much better, because there’s lots to like here.

It was a treat to see Lisa Kudrow, known for her role as Phoebe in the TV show Friends, back on screen. Her comedic timing and mannerisms are as charming as ever, making her a joy to watch in any role. The movie follows a child's dream of making it to Broadway despite facing rejection and feeling isolated.
