Here we have Night Patrol, the proto-Police Academy that is far more adult but also, like, actually funny. It’s witty, well-written, and the comedy treads into some interesting places, even though most of it goes way too far. To say that it pushes the envelope is an understatement. Director Jackie Kong is the creative mind behind oddities like The Being and Blood Diner, making her the perfect weirdo to bring this absurdist cop comedy to life.
