Now that we've had three seperate origins for the Annabelle doll, maybe we can put the doll to rest. In fairness to director David F. Conduit Demon: Take 27! OK! It may not be 27 films in the latest conduit demon phase of horror film making, but it sure as hell feels like it! **This is where it all begins!** The second spin-off from 'The Conjuring' franchise and overall a fourth film to set in the same universe. The first film, which was 'Annabelle', I thought it was an okayish. Now with this, there's a potential sub franchise. Probably it could head back to back-wards as prequels, while 'The Conjuring is heading forward. There's nothing new from this, but still not a bad film. I liked the location. <em>'Annabelle: Creation'</em> isn't all bad, though did underwhelm me if I'm to be truthful. The mix of stories of Samuel/Esther and the orphans isn't majorly watchable, while the repeated use of young girls as the basis of these plots in this universe is getting a bit repetitive. With that noted, like in <em>'The Conjuring 2'</em>, the best performance does come from one of the kids. Talitha Bateman gives a good showing, her character sure is repeatedly flung here, there and everywhere! Stephanie Sigman is solid, while I wish we got more of Miranda Otto as Esther.
