61/100 A man acquires a doll factory in Mexico after which the dolls become possessed by an evil spirit. I expected this to be rather hokey with its bad ratings but I was surprised. Denise Crosby was great and the daughter was really convincing as someone who is being controlled. Rest of the acting was Ok, albeit lacking in personality and the son could have been written out ...he was irritating. The practical doll effects were great and the movie never tried to be anything beyond its budget. Nothing original and the ending was too clean but I was quite entertained. - DrNostromo.com
