Lights Out (2013) is a very short horror film which immediately plays off of humanity's fear of the dark. In three short minutes, director David Sandberg created a fantastic horror short. He took a singular premise, fear of the dark, and created a grueling three minutes of tension without a single line of dialogue. There isn't much to say about a film that only lasts three minutes other than my heart was pumping for almost all of it. The beauty of this film is its duration.
