Mountain rescue exercises in the Alps near Grenoble. The men of National Security are engaged in training by rescuing one of their own, appropriately blocked on the mountainside. Thanks to a winch and a radio link, a rescuer advances along the wall and hoists the troubled climber onto a stretcher. Then a helicopter picks up the volunteer on his stretcher and takes him into the air. The documentary is a report by the French television broadcasted within the program 'Les coulisses de l'exploit' (Behind the scenes), a monthly sports news program created by Jacques Goddet and Raymond Marcillac, and broadcast on RTF Télévision then on the first channel of the ORTF from December 13, 1961 to August 16, 1972.
