You can hide a lot in the dark. There have been several movies about tour boats getting stranded and its tourist complement getting eaten by local wildlife. There are sharks, there are piranhas, there are alligators, there are even frankenfish. This movie has a hippo. That's novel. It's very cute. I like the premise of it and the characters are engaging enough for there to be actual tension, which is great. The casting is fine, not outstanding, but certainly not lacking.
