Oyin, a Malaysian woman, falls in love with Jiwo, an Indonesian man. Because their relationship is not approved by Oyin’s mother, Oyin decides to run away and marries Jiwo in Yogyakarta. Living in the house left behind by Jiwo’s parents, Oyin begins to be terrorized by supernatural beings. She often dreams that the child she is carrying will be struck with a pestle. The terror intensifies when Yuli, a student at the dance studio, becomes possessed by the spirit of Mbok Fatimah and drives Oyin away. Oyin herself suffers a miscarriage after being visited by the spirit of Mbok Fatimah. Jiwo, while digging into his family’s past, discovers that his mother, Rahayu, had once made a dark pact—sacrificing a fetus in exchange for wealth. With the help of Mbah Jereng, Jiwo, who is trying to break the curse, finds the grave of an unborn baby beneath the floor of his house.
