Sinopsis
Segunda Guerra Mundial (1939-1945). Durante la ocupación de Francia por los alemanes, poco antes del desembarco de Normandía (1944), Léon Duchemin, un tranquilo restaurador, cuya mujer lo abandonó hace veinte años, vive con su hermana María y su hija Juliette, que está loca. Sus clientes son de lo más heterogéneo: desde el chófer de Rommel hasta los partisanos, pasando por los que se dedican al mercado negro.
