It Chapter Two, the follow-up to the 2017 hit film, had high expectations to live up to, but ultimately falls short. Director Andy Muschietti struggled to contain the story within its two hour and forty-five minute runtime, resulting in too many flashbacks and an over-reliance on jump scares. The performances of the adult cast were strong, but the menace of Pennywise didn't feel as intense as it did in the first film.
