I'm sorry for the loss of what could have been an excellent show. But some things bother me. But first positive things. Most of the main actors are very good, the landscapes are beautiful, and the period is also something that I personally just like to see. The first problem that I have is with bashing Christianity and the catholic church, which is in my mind completely exaggerated and takes too much space in this show. In this show nuns and priests are portrayed worse than the mafia or KKK. I'm not religious, it's just portrayed misleadingly bad over the top. I'm not American and I have gr…

For starters, let's just say 1923 is a fantastic show. The setting is faithfully recreated, the acting wonderfully done, and it's well-written. It does, however, feel a bit 'Game of Thrones' in that it starts off with a ton of action in the pilot and then feels like a very long prelude to the season two finale, and in between, you watch these characters tortured in various ways over and over again.
