George Carney ("Joe") and his wife Vivienne Chatteron are a well-off, hard working, couple who made their fortune making cheese and who have aspirations for their daughter "Helen" (Dinah Sheridan). To that end, they send her to a good school but they don't love the outcome - she turns out to be a bit of a snob and the rest of this hour long comedy sees a battle of wills between parents and their daughter.
