<em>'El Paletero'</em> is great! It's peculiar but only in a positive way. The title translates to "The Ice Cream Maker", which tells you exactly what you need to know about this film but at the same time tells you absolutely nothing about where it goes. Wacky entertainment. Jorge Servellón is a good lead, ably supported by the likes of Glenn Blackburn, Polache and Edgar Flores. The special effects aren't the greatest but most certainly do the job, while the music also stood out to me whilst watching; the score throughout enhances the flick. Does the film make much sense?
