If you take this movie for what it is, an action / science fiction movie with emphasis on fiction, then it is, in my opinion, actually not too bad. The movie starts of with the usual suspects, a bunch of political asswipes setting off to create their, equally usual, clusterfuck firing the one competent person they actually needed to run the climate control project successfully. Very disappointing indeed. Problem for me was that you see the trailer, you see the cover art, and as the filmmakers intended, you think it's going to be big budget, CGI, disaster film. You'd be wring. Most of that - apart from small scenes sprinkled into the movie maybe 2x - is the last 20 mins! The rest of the movie is dull, dull, dull politics and intrigue and techie crap. For me to not miss relevant scenes or dialogue whilst daydreaming during the boring mire of good actors in bad parts, THAT was a challenge in and of itself.

This was one of those movies where they really relied too much on the visual effects to sell the movie. Sorry but I'm a lover of sci-fi and fantasy so this is my kind of movie but I couldn't watch more than 10min of it. The acting was B grade the story was lacking all they had was an idea which they ran with and no plot and that was it. Sorry
